Presentation

Right now I am getting ready to present to our 6th graders about what globaloria is, why it's awesome, and why they would want to do it.

Game Presentations

My game presentation went really well. I was nervous at first, but the guy who were talking to was very positive about everybody's game who presented yesterday. The first half of our class went yesterday and the second half go today. In my presentation I showed them my game, team page, and explained in a neat powerpoint my prgress so far, what will happen, what it was like on the first day of globaloria, about the game, and where I got my facts about saving water and the order of operations. I think I stuttered a little bit when I was talking because I was kind of nervous. I think that I needed to improve some of the graphics in my game. One of the suggestions was that I add a page listing many facts about saving water. I am entering a competition for my game and hope to win!

I haven't blogged in a long time because I have been so caught up in my game and presentation lately. I am still doing great and have almost my whole game completed. My presentation is almost completed and I am caught up on everything.

Social Issue

Social Issue: Wasting Water
Why is this social issue important?
This social issue is important because humans dont care about wasting water, too many people take saving water for granted because they think there is plenty of water in the world. But too many people think that and were losing millions of gallons of water fast and it is starting to have a negative impact on many environments around us.
Will this game have an impact on people and show them why saving water is important?
It will show them why saving water is important because it shows an unknown species of humans that are very small and he tries to turn off the water by getting to the off button, it shows how wasting water can kill animals and other living things.
What do you think the Earth will look like in twenty years if humans keep wasting water?
I think the oceans and all the great lakes will be at a lower elevation and animals that live in those waters will be forced to migrate to a different location because of humans being careless. It's not fair to animals, becuase they might die because the water smight be to cold and most animals that live in water are coldblooded which means that there blood temperature adapts to thier surrounding areas temperauters.
How do you think it will affect animals that live in water?
They will be forced to migrate to a different location and might die because of their bloodtype (coldblooded or warmblooded).
What will the overal caonsequence be if we shorten our showers for 2 minutes every time we take a shower?
It can save millions of gallons of water. Shortening our showers by two minutes for a year can help the surrounding environments. There will be more water and wildlife in ocaeans, lakes, river, etc. Many people have the right to shower long, but it's not fair that humans are destroying wildlife for our nutrition, I know it feels good to take long showers, but make sure you stay under control.

Mathematical Solutions Blog Prompt

My game is based on PEMDAS which stands for parenthesis, exponent, multiply or divide, add or subtract. That is the order of operations that you have to solve math problems in. If there is a problem that has divide before subtract, you divide first in the order the problem goes in, if division is first you do that, if multiplication comes first then you multiply. It's the same thing with adding and subtracting, but with parenthesis and exponent you always go in the order of PEMDAS no matter where it shows up in the problem. I chose this subject because this is my best math skill. PEMDAS was complicated for me at first then it started getting easier.

Globaloria

There is a new link on our wiki called blog prompts which shows what we need to say on our blog that day and over a certain period of time. It should help me more because it's right below the 7th grade schedule and I'm always looking at that and on my wiki a lot so I'll be looking at the blog prompt much more.

Globaloria

I am having trouble navigating between scenes. I have the start button linking to my first scene perfectly but when I try to link to my second scene when I press the order of operations button it messes up and links my start button to my scene 3. I have been working on this since monday and we still can't figure out why this is happening. My files wont save the codes in my action.
